If you have an existing Card login and want to enjoy the convenience of one login for your Savings and Card accounts, follow these registration steps today.

Start Registration
Go to the Savings login page and click Log In Here on the left-hand side to begin the linking process between your Savings and your existing American Express login. Enter your Card User ID and password when prompted and click Log In to proceed.
Note: If you already have a digital account to manage an American Express Card and prefer to manage your Savings and Card accounts separately, please follow the steps on the "Create New User ID" tab.
Validate Account Details
You will be asked for your Social Security number and date of birth to verify your Savings account ownership. Enter the details associated with your Savings account and click Continue. Follow the steps to register your Savings account to your online Card profile.
Note: To successfully register your Savings account to your existing Card User ID and password, you must ensure that the email associated with your existing Savings profile is the same as the email associated with your existing Card credentials.


Access Your Savings
Once your accounts are successfully linked, you will be redirected to the American Express login page and prompted to reenter your Card User ID and password to access your consolidated account view. You will then automatically see your Savings details in the Amex® App and when logging in at americanexpress.com.
Accessing the New Digital Experience
As a Card Member, you can now manage your Savings through the same login as your Card on americanexpress.com and in the Amex® App. This allows for quick, more streamlined access to manage your finances digitally.

Start Registration
Go to the American Express Registration page and click Register your American Express® Savings Account on the bottom of the page to create new credentials.
Note: If you already have a digital account to manage an American Express Card and prefer to manage your Savings and Card accounts together, please follow the steps on the "Use Existing Card Login" tab.
Validate Account Details
You will be asked for your Social Security number and date of birth to verify your Savings account ownership. Add your personal information and click Continue to start setting up your new American Express credentials.
Note: If you have an existing Card User ID and password and wish to create a new account to manage your Savings separately, you must ensure that the email associated with your existing Savings profile is different than the email associated with your existing Card credentials.


Create New Credentials
Once your Savings account has been verified, you will be prompted to create a new User ID and password, which you will use in place of any previous Savings credentials you have had. With these new credentials, you will be able to access your Savings when logging in on americanexpress.com and in the Amex® App.
Access Your Savings
Once your registration is successful, you will be redirected to the American Express login page and prompted to reenter your newly created User ID and password to access your Savings account. You will then automatically see your Savings details in the Amex® App and when logging in at americanexpress.com.

If you're a Savings customer without an active Card account, or if you're looking to keep your Savings and your Card accounts separate, register for a new User ID today to start taking advantage of your Savings more conveniently in the Amex® App. It only takes minutes to create new credentials to access the improved experience.

You asked, and we listened. American Express is creating a better online account experience for its Savings account holders at americanexpress.com. All Savings account holders are now able to manage their accounts on the go in the Amex® App.
Savings account holders who are also American Express® Card Members can access the new experience with existing Card account credentials by following the steps on the Use Existing Card Login tab above.
If you don't have a Card account with us, or you do not want a single login for your Card and Savings accounts, you can create a new American Express User ID and password by selecting the Create New User ID tab above.
To ensure continued online access to your accounts, you are required to take action – either by linking your Savings account to your existing American Express Card User ID and password, or by creating new americanexpress.com login credentials for accessing your Savings accounts.
By creating new American Express login credentials, all Savings account holders will now be able to access their Savings accounts in the Amex® App and view balances, transaction history, transfer money, deposit funds and more anywhere, anytime. Plus, existing American Express Card Members can now access both their Savings and Card accounts at americanexpress.com with a single User ID and password after linking their Savings account to their Card profile.
Savings account holders who don’t have an American Express Card account can follow the steps outlined under the Create New User ID tab on this page to create new americanexpress.com credentials.
If you are both an American Express Savings account holder and Card Member, you can access your Savings account using your existing Card User ID and password by following the instructions on the Use Existing Card Login tab above.
The first time you select Log In Here, you’ll be asked to enter your Social Security number and date of birth to validate your identity and link your Savings account. Going forward, you’ll be able to access your Savings and Card accounts side by side by logging in at americanexpress.com and in the Amex® App.
If you are a Savings account holder with an American Express Card User ID, but you prefer to keep your two accounts separate, follow the instructions for the Create New User ID tab above.
Please note: If you have an existing Card User ID and password and wish to create a new account to manage your Savings separately, you must ensure that the email associated with your existing Savings profile is different than the email associated with your existing Card credentials.
At American Express, we want you to be safe and secure when you bank with us online or by mobile device. Due to the sensitive nature of personal information, we are unable to automatically migrate your User ID and password to the new digital experience. We are also unable to automatically connect Savings and Card accounts for our customers without their verification. In order to create new login credentials, or link your accounts, American Express Savings protects the security of your account by verifying your identity with the use of multi-factor authentication, which sends One-Time Codes to the authorized device(s) registered to your account.

2 For a CD account, rates are subject to change at any time without notice before the account is funded. The rate received will either be (i) the rate reflected during your application process or (ii) the rate being offered when your CD is funded, whichever is higher. All CDs must be funded within 60 calendar days from the time we approve your application or will be subject to closure.
