Take Your Business Further with American Express Business Platinum’s New Benefits

Although business travel is vital for many companies, not all business is conducted on the road. A robust business credit card should offer value for companies and their employees regardless of whether they’re traveling to a conference, entertaining clients, working at home, at the office – and everywhere in between. That’s why the reinvented Business Platinum Card includes rewards for everyday business spending, not just travel.

Businesses can now earn 1.5 Membership Rewards points per dollar on key business categories, including eligible U.S. purchases at:

  • Construction materials and hardware suppliers.
  • Electronic goods retailers, software and cloud systems providers.
  • Shipping providers.

Businesses can also get 1.5X points on eligible purchases of $5,000 or more everywhere else. That’s 50% more points, on up to $2,000,000 of these purchases per calendar year. After that, business Card Members will earn 1X point per dollar spent.

Beyond points, the Business Platinum Card offers a suite of new and enhanced business benefits that, when combined, can deliver over $1,000 in value through annual statement credits – all for services that can help run your business better.

  • Dell Technologies Benefit: Upgrade your tech, enhance your business. Enroll and get up to $400 in statement credits per year toward U.S. purchases with Dell Technologies on the Business Platinum Card. That’s up to $200 back semi-annually.
  • Indeed Benefit: Build your team, grow your business. Enroll and get up to $360 in statement credits per year for purchases with Indeed on the Business Platinum Card. That’s up to $90 back per quarter.
  • Adobe Benefit: Get the creative solutions your business needs. Enroll and get up to $150 in statement credits per year for purchases with Adobe on annual prepaid plans for eligible Creative Cloud for teams and Acrobat Pro DC with e-sign on the Business Platinum Card. Annual prepaid plans automatically renew each year on your annual subscription date until cancelled.
  • Wireless Credit: Wireless connection is a vital piece to keep your business running. Earn up to $10 a month back when using your Business Platinum Card for wireless telephone service purchases made directly from a U.S. wireless provider. That’s up to $120 per year back as a statement credit for the wireless services every business needs to stay connected. Enrollment is required.

American Express Business Platinum Retains its First-Class Travel Value

In addition to the Card’s new benefits, Business Platinum’s long-lauded travel benefits that support road warriors’ comfort, productivity, and wellness while on the road are here to stay. For example, businesses can earn 5X points on flights and prepaid hotels booked through amextravel.com (Hotel bookings must be paid for in advance to take advantage of this benefit). Businesses can also get 35% points back after you use Pay with Points for all or part of a flight booked with American Express Travel if the flight is either First or Business class or on your selected qualifying airline, up to 500,000 points back per calendar year.

Additional benefits that can help businesses travel more comfortably include complimentary access to The Global Lounge Collection®, which offers over 1,300 airport lounges in 500 airports across 140 countries – so you and your employee Card Members can either relax or fit in some last-minute work before flights. And, to help you make it through airport security faster, the Card offers a $179 CLEAR® Credit and a Fee Credit for Global Entry or TSA Pre✔®. CLEAR uses biometric technology to help you breeze through security – just use your Card to pay for your CLEAR membership and you can receive up to $179 in statement credits per year. Similarly, you can receive either a statement credit every 4 years after you apply for Global Entry ($100) or a statement credit every 4.5 years after you apply for a five-year membership through any Authorized Enrollment Provider for TSA Pre✔® (up to $85) when the application fee is charged to an eligible Card.

When booking through American Express Travel and staying at participating Fine Hotels + Resorts® properties, Card Members can enjoy luxurious comfort plus Platinum Business Card benefits like complimentary room upgrade upon arrival when available, guaranteed 4 pm late check-out, noon check-in when available, complimentary Wi-Fi, and more. Business Platinum Offers Robust Solutions and Support

Rewards and perks are great, but the best business cards must bring high class services, support, and business solutions. Some additional benefits of the Business Platinum Card include:

  • No Preset Spending limit, so your business can get what it needs, when it’s needed. With No Preset Spending Limit, the amount you can spend adapts based on factors like purchase, payment, and credit history – enabling more efficient cash flow management.
  • Pay Over Time provides Card Members a convenient borrowing option to pay for both expected or unexpected expenses. It gives Card Members the flexibility to choose how and when they pay. They can meet their financial needs while continuing to earn Membership Rewards. With Pay Over Time, eligible purchases made will automatically be included in a Pay Over Time balance each month. At the end of each billing cycle, the Card Member can choose to pay the statement balance in full without interest, pay the minimum amount due, or pay any amount in between with interest. The APR for Pay Over Time purchases will range from 14.24% to 22.24%, based on creditworthiness as determined at the time of account opening.
  • Premium Global Assist® Hotline can provide you with 24/7 medical, legal, financial, or other select emergency coordination and assistance services when you’re 100 miles or more from home. Emergency medical transportation assistance may be provided at no cost only if approved and coordinated by Premium Global Assist Hotline. Card Members may be responsible for the costs charged.
  • Expense Management Tools, including account alerts, streamlined expense reporting with the American Express® Business App, and integration with QuickBooks so you can save time with automatic transaction categorization.
