Linking an external business bank account to your Business Checking account enables you to fund your Business Checking account and make transfers and payments. To ensure your Business Checking account stays open, you must make an initial deposit or incoming transfer within 120 days of when your application was approved.

There are three ways you can connect an external business bank account to your Business Checking account:

  • By selecting an external bank account on file that’s previously been added to other Amex products
  • Manually, by entering the routing and checking number of your external bank account
  • By logging into your external bank account to pull that account username and password
